I dreaded sourcing with all of my energy and soul; not because I feel the need to claim other people’s intellectual property and therefore imply that I am a good-for-nothing mouth breather but because of how I never understood the rules. My high school English teachers always spent a day (an hour at best) discussing proper citations. I lost focus after three letters ‘MLA’ were uttered. This time though I decided to challenge myself (and then reward myself with a Snickers bar) by reading the entirety of the chapter, noting how to integrate sources into our text while properly giving credit. In my personal profile, I included larger chunks of conversation because Kasey conducted her interview in more of a story and lesson form. Heir go, I implemented indentations in the text to indicate her voice without quotation marks. Overall, it makes the paper cleaner and easier to follow. Also I am a tad anxious about the annotated bibliography but the textbook gives clear directions on how to cite properly in MLA with authors name, title of work, title of site, site sponsor, publication date, medium, access date, and URL. I have done a nine page annotated bibliography before but was graded down for sloppy citations (I believe I forgot a period or two). What I better understand about the bibliography is the synopsis/application section.
